International Student Application Process
From application to arrival, here is what to expect at every stage of your journey to USM International RECSAM Penang.
STEP 1
Submit Application
Complete and submit the online application with all required supporting documents.
STEP 2
Document Checking
Applications and supporting documents are reviewed.
- Accepted → Proceed to Interview Session
- English Requirement Not Met → Conditional Offer Letter (COL) + Intensive English Programme (IEP)
- Rejected → Receives an Unsuccessful Email
STEP 3
Interview Session
Shortlisted applicants attend the designated interview.
- Successful → Full Offer Letter (FOL)
- Successful + English Requirement Pending → FOL + Academic Communication in English (A.C.E.), 1 month
- Rejected → Receives a Rejection Email
STEP 4
Offer & Acceptance
Successful applicants receive and accept the offer.
STEP 5
Visa Application
Our team will handle the student visa application process.
STEP 6
Arrival & Registration
Students report to USM International RECSAM Penang and complete student registration upon arrival.
STEP 7
Accommodation Check-In
Students check in to the designated accommodation and are required to stay for at least one semester.
STEP 8
Medical Check-Up
Our team will arrange the required medical check-up after the student arrives.
STEP 9
Student Pass Application
Our team will assist students with the Student Pass application process and provide guidance on the required documentation.
